Hanoi

We arrived in Hanoi to find we had room with a view

Lovely view of Hoan Kiem Lake that is centre of life in Hanoi.  Walked around in rain and Bob got dish of ice cream in favorite ice cream place.  Then he found a bookshop with some books he wanted. ..my husband was happy camper ☺

But back to earlier in day in SaPa.
COPI does not have a traveling eye Dr.  but does provide readers in various strengths to the elderly women.

They knew COPI in town and waited patiently for distribution to begin.  Once doors opened in they came AND SELECTION started.  As these women do needlework being able to see is essential to their livelyhood.

We then walked around SaPa enjoying the view, when the clouds moved out of the way

The main market has been moved away from main tourist area, much to the dislike of many, but a small food market still exists.

The Hmoungs ladies set up where they can and sew away between customers or just peddle walking around the streets...

In Case wondering about accommodations. We stayed at Bamboo Hotel and had a nice room

Was a slow drive down mountains to Hanoi, that is why they are soon starting work on new 4 Lane road into SaPa, and along the route we stopped at rest area just across Red River from China.

Now to enjoy Hanoi and a day off to rest up!
