Elementary School

Kids are kids...no matter where in world you are. The kids today have so little and were so excited to get a used Hot Wheels car or very used doll.  Yet they are kids who like running and playing like any kid.

COPI had hand knitted scraps, hats and gloves for most of children as well as used clothing.  So many of children had on dirty, threadbare outfits nice to know at least getting some new cloths.

After seeing Dr and Dentist they are taken to pharmacy for vitamins and anything Dr prescribed , then go to pick out clothes and best part of day is picking toy.  We have a table full of toys and they get to choose.  Think so many have never been able to choose a toy or even had one. Amazing to watch face as selecting and then walk away with their very own toy.

Girls love Barbie everywhere in world!

The lunch pails most of kids had pretty awful and some of Vietnamese on team found out way to resolve.  So every child now has new metal lunch pail 😀

Did I mention this school on side of mountain and down 110 steps and as Bob says back up to road is 220 steps!! Locals out on mountain clearing land for terracing,  talk about back breaking work.

Back to hotel then out for nice dinner with French fries for starter😆 followed by salad rice, stir fried pork, morning glories, soup of some sort, egg rolls and fresh pineapple for dessert.  Delicious as everything so fresh.

Then out for stroll around town and some shopping......

We have tomorrow morning off to play tourist and in afternoon driving to Hanoi where we have short break.
